Eunice H. Schroeder, 89, died July 14, 2013 at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born May 25, 1924 in Hoxie, the daughter of Rueben and Alice Lewis Stapleton. A resident of Hutchinson since 1950, she moved here from Hoxie. She married Albert Schroeder on November 29, 1941. He died August 14, 1992.
Survivors include a sister, Ruby Chronister, Hutchinson, 4 brothers, Robert and John Stapleton, both of Hutchinson, George Stapleton, Louisville, KY, and Kenneth Stapleton, Wichita, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Rosalie Wolf, and three brothers, Wilbur, Max, and Paul Stapleton.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory, Hutchinson, with Pastor Matt Stafford presiding. Burial will follow at Eastside Cemetery, Hutchinson. Visitation will be held from 5-9PM Tuesday and 9AM to 9PM Wednesday, both at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Reno County.
